In “Lifted,” I sought to capture a moment of joy, trust, and unspoken connection — a shared dance between strength and surrender. Formed from stainless steel and grounded on a polished metal base, the piece balances both literal and emotional weight as one figure hoists another above, frozen in a pose that recalls play, partnership, or performance.
The small copper bowl offers a subtle warmth — a heart of flame or center of gravity — reminding us that even in metal, there is room for softness and intimacy. Every curve and weld was guided by a desire to express movement without motion, love without sentimentality.
Whether seen as parent and child, dancer and partner, or simply one soul lifting another, this sculpture invites reflection on the moments when we choose to lift — and trust being lifted.
